SIENA AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
The city is well known all over the world for its huge historical, artistic and landscaping heritage, but also for the popular Palio di Siena, which takes place in the fascinating Piazza Del Campo, where you can see also the well-known Torre del Mangia. In 1995 its historical center had been declared to be a World Heritage site by Unesco. If you want to visit it far and wide take a couple of days, we assure you that you will be happy about it. As for holy places, we recommend: the Duomo of Siena, the Battistero of San Giovanni, the Basilica dell’Osservanza, and the Basilica of Santa Maria dei Servi. The churches of San Francesco, San Domenico, Santo Spirito the Santuario and the house of Santa Caterina and finally the Oratorio of San Bernardino. There are also a lot of green areas such as, for example, The Tolomei’s Vegetable garden.
Siena and its unique treasures are waiting for you!
